"Homeward Bound" is a song by the American music duo Simon & Garfunkel, released as a single on January 19, 1966, by Columbia Records. It was written by Paul Simon and produced by Bob Johnston (not me). Simon wrote the song during his time in England, possibly while waiting for a train at Widnes railway station in the northwest of England.

From this valley they say you are going I will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile For they say you are taking the sunshine That has brightened our path for a while Do you think of the valley you're leaving Oh how lonely, how sad it will be. Do you think of the fond heart you're breaking And the grief you are causing to me Come and sit by my side if you love me Do not hasten to bid me adieu B...

Świetne wykonanie pozdrowienia z Polski!
❤ 😊
I am cleaning out my parent's home and found a copy of this album today. Any idea when this album was released? My mom graduated from Bishop Colton in (I think) 1962.
Oh sigma fr
The men and boys choir in which I sang growing up used to sing for warm up on occasion. I am not sure why a traditional Anglican Church choir learned a French fold tune but it certainly pays tribute to the choir master’s wide range of musical knowledge - and he was from High Point, NC.
need a tutorial for how to play this
Great music
Lovely!
Thanks so much. Glad you liked it!
Love it! Dzienkuje
Many thanks!! I really appreciate it!
My mom's favorite song❤❤❤❤❤
Love the music. I could listen to you play all the folk songs from the 60s and 70s. I never get tired of hearing those melodies!
👍 Nice
Thanks 👍

Very nice! Enjoyed it very much.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
so lovely. Thank you. I shall listen to you again. xx
Very well done,,you know the meaning of these words,
Thanks, it's always been one of my favorites.
I was in high school when this song first came out. Loved the melody, words and the talent of Simon and Garfunkel. Your rendition of this song is equally pleasing to my ears! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much... Yes, I fell in love with their music when I was in HS too. S&G's tunes are always in my mind and my heart.
Lovely work on this classic track Mr P !
Lovely melody ... with a story of life!
Thanks. Hope you are well and warm!
@@MrPoloniaMusic Weather here is finally breaking. Warmer temps - 20s and 30s for next 7-10 days. Only possible danger is rain mixed with snow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Now that is a novel instrument!
Yes, it's really just a toy. My son gave it to me for Christmas because I have quite a collection of musical instruments.
Is your birthday?
Oh no. I am just curious why I no longer hear this version. When I was a choir boy in the fifties and sixties, we would sometimes sing this version... but not for birthdays. Mostly for other celebrations.
@@MrPoloniaMusic Good to know that. The version you sang today is one I have not heard before. Thanks for sharing.
I like your teaching style. No talking, love it!
Hello! I lost the sheet music to this piece and I'm trying to find it online but I only know it by "Mazurka", does it have any additional title, or how can I find it? Thanks in advance for helping, I'd appreciate it. 🤗 Btw I love your take on this piece, sounds smooth and effortless (mine doesn't, haha 😁)

Loved this!! Thanks for showing more of the wind on Lake Ontario. I have only seen Lake Superior and Lake Michigan in person, so I truly enjoy seeing at least one more Great Lake. Someday, perhaps I'll see the last 3 Lakes!
Yes, I love the Great Lakes!
Thank you for sharing this magnificent sidewalk. Unbelievably beautiful. The power of the wind over Lake Ontario is truly impressive. A little bit of paradise in your backyard.
Glad you enjoyed it! I love the lake and its breezes. As long as I don't lose my cap!

"Of the songwriters on the Greenwich Village scene of the 1960s, Bob Dylan became its most visible standard-bearer, the person who started the whole thing was Tom Paxton" [ Dave Van Ronk ]. Listening to his " I'm the Man That Built the Bridges " album, it is easy to hear the influences of Burl Ives and Woody Guthrie in his compositions. Thank you, Mr. Johnson, for teaching me how to fingerpick, for sharing your videos, making me smile, and......oh well, this is where I am supposed to whistle.
You bet. Please call me Bob!
